Mariano Vargas Algeria born photographer lives and works in Spain. The Lina Davidov Gallery is presenting "Soltanto Madonne", a series by Mariano Vargas focusing on women with backdrops inspired by Rennaissance and Mannerism paintings. Vargas exaggerates colors and highlights the eroticism of these saintly women and provides these classic 16th and 17th century subjects with 20th century attributes: robot dogs or video games.
