The naked body is in art a recurrence of all disciplines and has covered the walls of our museums and exhibitions for decades… The back is something present in the odalisques and other art, but we do not think about the live models and their perception… This series was born from the little quip of a model saying to me: “I’ve never really seen myself from behind or only halfway…”. Indeed, seeing oneself completely is difficult and requires contortions and/or mirror reflections. Back and buttocks therefore take on another dimension when the vision is that of the author who allows you to see your physique in its entirety.
