Les Promenades de Vendôme 2013

The Promenades Photographiques de Vendôme opened their doors last weekend. Until September 15th, the French city around the Loire Valley greets 27 exhibitions. For the 9th edition, eighty photographers are featured.

Peter Knapp did a command work, about the inhabitants of the region. The exhibition Etre humain [Human Being], gathers the work of nine photographers. Among them, Rémi Chapeaublanc went to Mongolia. His series deals with relationship between human and animals. Christian Lamontagne documentes the Mars Society project, based in Arctic. Guillaume Amat focus on human identity, with its different life steps. The series by Olivier Coulange deals with the autism.

This year, there will be a partnership with the Rencontres Internationales de Gaspésie. Gabor Szilasi, Doreen Lindsay et Maryse Goudreau will be on view in Vendôme and some French photographers will be featured this summer, in Quebec. A kind of « photographic bridge through the ocean » according to Odile Andrieu and Guy Bourreau, director and president of the festival.
