We continue and present the projects selected by Les Nuits Photographiques 2015 awards, which took place on September 19th. Today is about “Islande / variations“, directed by Gaëtan Chevrier, french photographer.
This series is built around a single theme: contemplation. For each landscape, the horizon is envisaged as a ‘musical score’ where the five lines are grouped into one. The image, thus separated into two distinct parts, is so composed of a set of ‘photographic notes” formed by the light variations and the many shades of the land and the sky. The concept of variation, similar to that found in music, is diverted from its original form but retains the intention of affirming a look, a sensitivity.
