La photo de profil sur Facebook

Preview

Solo? In a group? A sober, head-on portrait fit for a police file? Or while you’re in the middle of something, on vacation, say, where your white teeth stand out against your tanned face. Or what about the ultimate paradox in the temple of self-promotion: a landscape, a famous actor or a cartoon? Nobody can escape these questions when it comes to summarizing who you are in a single photograph.

On social networks, self-exposure is the main “relational technique.” Might as well look your best. The first decision you make when you join Facebook is your choice of profile photo. This is how your friends, contacts and potential friends and contacts will see you. Most of the photographs uploaded to Facebook are profile photos. Users can change their profile photo as many times as they like, choosing how they wish to present themselves at any given moment.
