Synergy of Beauty – Triptychs (2022–2023)

Conceived in September 2022, Synergy of Beauty emerged at a moment when shooting in Kyiv was impossible. The first triptychs were therefore constructed from earlier photographs, with architectural fragments integrated from previous archives. From October 2022 onward, the project transitioned into studio-based work.

The series adopts a visual language subtly infused with surrealism — a vocabulary chosen for its capacity to expand imagination and to allow the image to evolve beyond the limits of direct observation. Each composition invites the viewer into an intimate, inner landscape of beauty.

Over time, new layers of meaning surfaced. The presence of women and flowers evokes both the generative power of life and its luminous yet fragile nature — an awareness sharpened by the constant backdrop of missile strikes. Surrealism became a means of tapping into the collective subconscious, translating the psychological state shared by many.

The recurrent motif of closed eyes reflects a loss of stability, a suspension of one’s usual sense of grounding. In response, the works take the form of triptychs, their architectural elements functioning as symbolic structures of support and balance.

Throughout the development of the series, I explored varied techniques: from collage and layered effects to works built entirely in-camera. Most of the architectural components were photographed in 2023, adding a contemporary structural dimension to the visual narrative.
