The exhibiton “When photography reads like a book. From Robert Frank to Karl Lagerfeld” showing the work of Steidl at Hôtel de la Monnaie in Paris is prolonged until the 31st of December. An excellent opportunity to discover one of todays most important publishers of photographic books.
La Lettre de la Photographie had an exclusive interview with Gerhard Steidl, founder of the publishing house that bears his name. In this video he speaks about his past and his passion for books. “I do it first for the artist, and after, for me. Then we just hope that people around the world will love our books as much as we do!”
