Distance

This blue imitates nothing: it comes neither from the sky, nor the sea, nor from some technical nostalgia. It exists as a distance. A deliberate filter between the world and me, a way of looking without getting too close. I like this drift, this shift — as if things existed elsewhere, slightly removed from their reality.
I photograph without seeking absolute sharpness. What interests me is not capturing a moment, but translating its echo. Blue allows me to do that: a gentle way to render shadow, silence, absence too. A space that doesn’t say everything, but leaves room.
I look, I feel, and in that distance, something true settles. Photography then becomes an in-between territory: between sight and memory, between sensation and withdrawal.
This blue is my way of inhabiting the world — without invading it.
