Gerald Assouline publishes Au Fil du Temps in four booklets. He presents them as follows:
This project grew out of a desire to rediscover my work in the light of themes not explicitly addressed in my exhibitions and publications:
- Elsewhere, like a dream
- Waiting for
- Looking for Kafka
- Time for a gaze
As the title suggests, there is this idea of declining time in all its forms: as it unfolds Elsewhere, as it hangs suspended in Waiting for, as it becomes a link between past and present in Looking for Kafka, and as it slips furtively away Time for a gaze.
These four booklets form a single whole and are therefore published and sold together.
All of this work was made on film, then scanned for publication. Each of the photographs presented in the booklets is available for purchase.
