Galerie Yvon Lambert : Romain Laprade : Distances Volume III

Preview

Yvon Lambert and Ève Lambert are dedicating a new exhibition to photographer Romain Laprade, marking the fourth collaboration between the artist and the gallery. Following Distances in 2019, Polaroids in 2021, and Utopia in 2023, this new exhibition is part of a relationship of trust and continuity, nurtured over time. It offers a unique immersion into Laprade’s visual universe, through a selection of recent works and iconic prints.

Romain Laprade has developed a unique photographic language, in which light, color, and form become narrative elements in their own right. His gaze captures the silent essence of places, stripping each image down to its purest structure. In the exhibition space, this approach is fully revealed: the formats, scenography, and sequences create a contemplative rhythm, conducive to a sensitive and immersive reading of his work.

The exhibition offers a journey that oscillates between modernist architecture, arid landscapes, cozy interiors, and urban compositions. Stripped of all superfluity, each photograph exudes a sense of balance and silence, where time seems to stand still. From sun-drenched facades to cozy interiors and vast open landscapes, Distances invites us to slow down, observe, and rediscover space through a new angle.
