G Editions announced the publication of Drug Wars: Supply and Demand by Jonathan Alpeyrie.

In Drug Wars: Supply and Demand, photojournalist Jonathan Alpeyrie delves into the devastating and complex realities of the global drug trade. With over two decades of experience in conflict zones worldwide, Alpeyrie brings a unique, first-hand perspective on the flow of illegal drugs from Latin America to the high-demand markets in North America. This raw, deeply important visual and narrative work provides an unprecedented close-up view of the cartels, governments, and individuals caught in the web of this ever-evolving crisis.

Alpeyrie’s exploration into the intersection of politics, crime, and human suffering unfolds through more than 300 powerful photo- graphs and insightful commentary. He takes readers into the heart of the regions most affected by the drug trade, capturing the tension and turmoil of those who live in its shadow. The book traces the move- ment of illicit substances, from their production in the rural landscapes of Latin America to their distribution in cities across North America.

Through both images and text, Alpeyrie examines the deep social, economic, and political ramifications of the narcotic empire that impacts millions globally.

This book—with a Foreword by renowned film producer, Bonnie Timmermann—is an essential document for anyone interested in the current state of the drug trade and the broader political and social dynamics of the Americas. Alpeyrie’s work stands as a powerful reminder of the human cost of these global transactions, providing readers with a new level of understanding of the ongoing war on drugs.
