For the past five years I’ve been collecting photos of the squat La Miroiterie with the help of residents like Anso, Bernard, Pat Dub, Alexis, Gilles and its co-founder, Michel. La Miroiterie is the oldest active squat in Paris. The world-renowned site, which has held hundreds of concerts since 1999, is one-of-a-kind in Paris. Eclectic and disturbing, it brings together the musical cultures of rock, punk, hardcore, metal, ska, psychobilly, Afro, etc., but also painting, sculpture and Brazilian dance.
