Carolina Cuneo has chosen the Genoese gallery, VisionQuesT 4rosso, for her first exhibition in her hometown.
In the works of Carolina Cuneo, the relationship created weaves step by step, an apparently invisible thread, but visually robust and red like a bloodline, which binds us human beings to each other and which represents the type of relationship that we have with each other, the experiences we have shared, the part of us that the other has known, the part of the other that we have known, the representation we have of each other, all that we have given and received and hast changed us. Carolina speaks to us of ties that change a part of us and do so in a way that is proportional to the strength of the thread that binds us, of the depth of knowledge we have reached. Bonds define and modify us, but sometimes they can become a limitation.
She was born in Genoa where she lives and works, Carolina has built her photographic approach, by herself, by rubbing shoulders with and exchanging — permanently — with many photographers including some great creators of her time. His works have been exhibited from Arles to New York, from Milan to Montreal. Carolina’s artwork focuses, among other approaches, on the relationship between trees and human spirituality, on the one hand. On the other hand, she advances in her approach on identity and the various links that cross it. Since 2019, she has been president of the international collective of creative photographers : Optim’Art, based in Europe.
