Photography Exhibition Michel Haddi, Pop Style Icons

In Provence’s Miramas, McArthurGlen Designer Outlet Provence is currently dedicating an exhibition to fashion photographer Michel Haddi. About sixty mythic images show the evolution of styles throughout different periods, all marked by major historic and cultural changes, especially the 1990s with the iconic Kate Moss, but also the new millennium. “Initially, I wanted to be a director or a journalist,” says Michel Haddi. “But suddenly, around 18 or 19 years old, I had a revelation. I saw a Vogue cover in a kiosk by Helmut Newton, and I told myself, ‘that’s incredible, that’s what I want to do!’ ”

It was also in the United States that he met and photographed numerous celebrities like Clint Eastwood, Cameron Diaz, Johnny Depp, Angelina Jolie, Janet Jackson, and many others. Here, we find pictures of David Bowie, Nicholas Cage, Martin Scorsese, Jennifer Lopez, and Uma Thurman, just to name a few. Fifteen additional photographs of French artists (some of which were never published) enrich the exhibition. Actors, models, singers, but also the icons of the 1980s to today. In short, the pop wave is being honored.
