João Silva was seriously injured in Afghanistan on October 23, 2010, when covering military operations by coalition forces. João, a veteran war photographer and member of the celebrated Bang-Bang Club in South Africa, has made a number of trips to Afghanistan over a period of almost ten years. We are very pleased to be presenting a small selection of his work on Afghanistan.
