The book presents the historical, social and scientific context that led to the construction of these exceptional architectures; twenty-two monographs provide an unparalleled panorama of this ensemble designed by famous architects such as Hans-Georg Tersling from Denmark, Niçois Joseph-Albert Tournaire and Mentonnais Abel Gléna and Alfred Marsang. It also evokes the elegant hotel gardens in which local species and acclimatized exotic plants rub shoulders.
