Thursday October 18th, 2018 will present a unique opportunity to own a historic print by Josef Sudek sent directly from the photographer. A close friend of the “poet of Prague” gathered a collection of photographs and letters he received over 30 years of correspondence.
Composed of large signed prints and unpublished documents, this collection is certainly the last of its kind to not have entered a museum. This important group of over 200 prints will be offered for auction for the first time in its quasi-totality by Binoche & Giquello.
Lots will be visible until October 15th, by appointment. A public exhibition will be held at Hotel Drouot, Room 2, on October 17th and 18th prior to the sale.
