Galerie Sébastien Lepeuve presents the group exhibition Éteindre le feu, bercer l’ennui until October 26. Among the artists featured is photographer Ludivine Large-Bessette.
In Ludivine Large-Bessette’s photographic series “Adaptation”, developed over several years, body control, movement and letting go become the nuances of active listening, enabling us to rediscover the environment around us. What would happen if the spaces we over-domesticate became the starting point for physical situations? By turning the order of things upside down, we create physical sensations that allow us to move towards new horizons, where the human is no longer at the center of everything, and where the body reveals itself in the beauty of its vulnerability.
In residence for several months during the last Mutantx Biennial, Ludivine Large-Bessette continued this series in the spring of 2024 within the spaces of the former Chiroux library, enabling us to rediscover in a new way these spaces that have counted for the people of Liège.
Artists featured in the exhibition:
Cécile Bouffard, Damien Caccia, Ellande Jaureguiberry, Fanny Béguély, Kathleen Meier, Margaux Fontaine, Matthias Garcia, Nathan Harbonn Viaud, Pia Chevalier, Simon Martin, Tamaris Borrelly, Taras Sereda, Théophile Stern, Tom Castinel.
