This grant is awarded to a young professional photographer wishing to carry out a documentary photographic project in France or abroad, in the social, economic, political or cultural field. Awarded by a prestigious jury chaired, in 2022, by Jean-Luc Soret (director of the Visa pour l’Image association), this grant gives the winner the means to finance a major personal project and to have the time necessary to carry it out.
How to apply:
– Be no more than 35 years old on 31 December 2023;
– Be able to present your project in French;
– Have already produced and published at least two documentary projects in the press (print and/or web), in a book or an exhibition catalogue. These publications must include several photographs representative of each of the projects in order for the author to apply;
– Be a professional photographer as their main activity.
They have recently received the Jean-Luc Lagardère Foundation Photographer’s Grant: Pierre Vanneste (2019), Mouna Saboni (2020), Marion Péhée (2021). In 2022, Aline Deschamps was awarded the Photographer’s Grant to report on the new migration routes of Sierra Leonean survivors of human trafficking.
Applications must be submitted online by Wednesday 7 June 2023.
