Edouard Mortec –Foules

Preview

Born in 1975, lives and works in Paris.
At the age of seventeen, he has his first desire to photograph by observing a dog barking behind a wire netting.
This dog would never be photographed but, he acquires a camera and begins to experiment at night mainly.
After a brief career as sound-engineer, he turns to graphic design and photographs the musicians of the Parisian stages for whom he sometimes conceives artworks.
At the same time he elaborates his first series confronting abstractive and figurative through a street photography approached in a fine-art way.

“To photograph it is to question the photography and its language to feel the limits and make them speak about our own limits.
Limit of the abstractive and the figurative, limit of the shadow and the light, the limit of the judicious and the foolish, the limit of the inside and the outside, the objective and the subjective.
I try to stand on the edges of these things to evoke a hereafter.”
