In 2011, Roma Publications released a 400-page monograph devoted to Dirk Braeckman. To accompany the exhibition of his work, Le Bal and Xavier Barral are publishing the series Sisyphe, presented for the first time in its entirety. These 32 photographs are erotic fragments of an impenetrable scene, “an enigmatic, anonymous tangle of thighs, backs, necks, breasts and hair,” printed on the same fine, delicate paper used in the exhibition.
