Preview

For Dazed & Confused’s November photography special, Benjamin Alexander Huseby documents the next generation of London’s young optimists – youth volunteers, campaigners and activists, from Tottenham to Croydon and beyond.
Photographer Chantal Regnault reveals her images from New York’s early 90’s voguing and ballroom scene while photographer and Dazed co-founder Rankin and superstar artist Damien Hirst come together to create a unique photographic art project based on ancient myths.

The magazine also previews some of photographer Ryan McGinley’s latest work ahead of his upcoming London exhibition, while Jeff Bark, Will McBride and Manuela Pavesi all contributes with some forward-thinking fashion shoots.

In the issue you´ll also find images by the hardcore hip hop troupe Death Grips. They where given a camera by the magazine to document their chaotic summer touring around America, while legendary manager of the Ramones Danny Fields remembers the New York music scene he helped create.

Dazed & Confused was founded in 1992 by Rankin and Jefferson Hack. To celebrate their 20th birthday they´re releasing a book called Making it up as we go along (Rizzoli). Edited by the founders them self the book takes a visual look back on the colourful and multifarious content featured in the magazine over the last 20 years.
