“A Spirit of Time” is an exhibition by Gérard Rancinan and Caroline Gaudriault at the Danubiana Meulensteen Art Museum in Bratislava, Slovakia. They write:
The Danubiana Meulensteen Art Museum is one of the most beautiful and romantic museums of Modern and Contemporary art in the world. It sits like a ship on a peninsula in the middle of the immense blue Danube.
For the 25th anniversary of this national museum, the director asked us to develop a masterful exhibition that focuses on Humanity and Modernity. So, we hung more than 60 giant photographs, that came directly from our studio in Chartres. Four series of begin that start with the the meanderings of modern daily life and, and over 3,000 square meters, develop up to the theme of Consolation of Philosophy. We also included texts, artistic installations, and films.
