Château de La Roche-Guyon : Olivier Verley : From Plants to Landscapes

Preview

As part of its 2025 cultural season, entitled “ Paysage vivant “ (Living Landscape) focusing on the relationship between the landscape and the living organisms that compose and inhabit it, the Château de La Roche-Guyon welcomes photographer Olivier Verley in residence. Driven by a passion for plants and landscapes, the artist combines his photographic work with the poetic and scientific work of his great-grandfather, Henri Leclerc (1870-1955), a physician, phytotherapist, and poet who lived in the French Vexin region. From May 24 to November 30, 2025, photography, poetry, and science enthusiasts will discover an exhibition, “Des plantes aux paysages(From Plants to Landscapes), featuring photographic prints, sonnets, a video installation, scientific works, and the personal archives of the inventor of the word “phytotherapy” in 1913.
