The Les Amis d’Ithaque residency is part of a strong commitment to supporting contemporary photographic creation through the practice of black and white film photography.
Designed as a special time for research and production, it offers an artist the material, technical and temporal conditions necessary for the development of a demanding personal project, as part of a research process.
Objectives of the residency:
– To support the development of black-and-white film photography projects.
– To provide exclusive access to the professional equipment in Ithaque’s darkroom.
– To free the artist from material and financial constraints.
– To encourage research, the transmission of know-how and exchanges between artists.
Duration: 2 months
1 month of research and experimentation
1 month of production and printing
The periods can be divided into several sessions of at least one week.
Production grant: €3,000
Living expenses grant: €2,000
Photographic consumables are purchased directly by the association Les Amis d’Ithaque.
