Getty Images is pleased to announce the 2016 winner of the Getty Images Chris Hondros Fund Award has been announced as American photojournalist Bryan Denton. This year marks the Award’s five year anniversary. Fellow photojournalist Kiana Hayeri has also been announced as the recipient of the emerging photojournalist grant. American Denton will receive a $20,000 grant to support his photojournalism work, whilst Iranian born-Toronto based Hayeri will be awarded a $5000 grant.
The awards will be presented at a reception hosted by the Chris Hondros Fund, at the Aperture Gallery in New York on Wednesday, May 4, at 6:30 p.m. The event includes a silent auction to benefit the fund’s grant and awareness programs, providing the opportunity to bid on an extraordinary collection of photographs including past awardees Daniel Berehulak, Kevin Frayer, Tomas Munita and Andrea Bruce.
