The New Poles
Aged between 14 and 15. they come from middle-class polish families. Born after the overthrow of the communist regime. Raised in the age of Internet and consumption. By observing New Poles one can see what changes in Polish reality, and what remains constant.
Patryk Karbowski, born 1989. Graduated from National Filmschool in Łódź, teachs at the Academy of Photography in Warsaw. His main work is documentary photography focused on social and economical changes in Poland. Patryk’s previous project “Za Zelazna Brama Estate” reached Magnum Expression Photography Award 2010 finals.
