Bienal’25 Fotografia do Porto – TOMORROW TODAY

Preview

The fourth edition of the Porto Photography Biennial, entitled “TOMORROW TODAY,” imagines a regenerative world where photography serves as a catalyst for dialogue and action. From May 15 to June 29, the biennial presents 51 artists in 16 exhibitions, providing a platform for artistic research and collective reflection. From environmental crises to social connections, the biennial explores how current actions can shape the future.

The program is structured around four interconnected platforms—CONECTAR (connect, exchange), SUSTENTAR (support, preserve), VIVIFICAR (live, remain), and EXPANDIR (develop, grow)—which serve as sites of investigation for exhibitions, residencies, collaborative research, and territorial mediations. Through these platforms, the Biennial welcomes practices that span rural and urban territories, local communities, and international networks, promoting pluralistic approaches to image-making, ecology, technology, memory, and affect. Through listening gestures, speculative approaches, and contextualized pedagogies, the 25th Porto Photography Biennial cultivates a present that is attentive, critical, and forward-looking.
