Art Paris Art Fair will welcome over 80 French galleries this year. Among them are contemporary photo galleries Les Filles du Calvaire, the Galerie VU’ and the Esther Woerdehoff gallery, and several other contemporary art galleries which will also be exhibiting photography. New exhibitors this year include the gallery Revue Noire and the Galerie Hélène Bailly, which will be showing the work of Denis Rouvre. Russia is the guest of honor this year, and work from that country will be on view at the Galerie Taïss, exhibiting for the occasion the work of The Fourth Height, a Russian art collective founded in the 1990s by Dina Kim, Katya Kameneva and Gala Smirnskaya. Their photographs call into question Soviet values and ridicule the feminist stereotypes of their day.
