During one week late January, the renowned photographer Martin Parr settled into Paris’ Goutte d’Or district. The pictures he produced of neighborhood residents, merchants and meeting places were humorous and in characteristic contrast with typical clichés. His anglo-saxon point of view provides a very different and refreshing look at religion in the city, opening up an often suffocating debate.
