Antichambres is the result of a month stay in Poland, where I visited 16 welcome centers for asylum seekers, as well as two detention centers. I worked in collaboration with the philosopher Christiane Vollaire, who interviewed more than one hundred Chechen refugees. In the book Le Milieu de nulle part (Editions Créaphis), they are given the chance to speak, and the rooms where they live echo their presence.
