The series Histoires Naturelles by Alexandra de Lapierre was selected by Marion Hislen (Fetart & Festival Circulation) during portfolio review at the Gaite Lyrique on the 15 and 16 November 2014.
Her “natural histories” examine the world and its challenges. They’re written little by little, like kaleidoscopes, turning waste into something valuable. Nature, paper, colors, children… everything is included as testimony of what they are, what they were. A set of notebooks worthy of the exquisite corpses invented by the Surrealists. There you have it: Adelap is a Surrealist. She belongs to another era.
