Preview

To celebrate the 200th anniversary of the birth of two of history’s most famous photographers, Edouard Baldus and Charles Marville, James Hyman has put together a special exhibition for AIPAD. It includes several unpublished panoramic photographs by both artists, as well as masterpieces by Nicéphore Niépce, William Henry Fox Talbot, Hippolyte Bayard, Humbert de Molard, Charles Nègre, John Beasley Greene, Alphonse Delaunay, Firmin-Eugène Le Dien and Gustave le Gray. On view will be one of the most important pieces in the history of photography, Talbot’s photogenic drawing, “Veronica Bloom” (1840), along with several important works taken between 1840 and 1850 by pioneers of French photography.
