On the 24th of October British luxury lingerie brand – Coco de Mer will celebrate its latex-wear collection with a new series of images by multi-disciplinary visual artist and writer- Wanda Orme in her signature style and featuring model April Alexander.
Born on the Isle of Man, Wanda was raised in London and lived in California, she has most recently returned to London after living and working in New York City. Holding Master’s degrees in both Anthropology and Psychology, her work aims to communicate and subvert, with a focus on experience, vulnerability, resonance and sexuality.
Wanda’s process is driven by resonance and instinct. She follows what draws her to something and then questions it. Her work is a product of that conversation between desire and a kind of playful analysis. The sense of potency in the work is important to her – “that the work has an energy which exceeds the image”. These images explore ideas of surplus excess and bloom in relationship to sexuality – “the waxing moon, overflow and abundance”.

The full series of 7 images will be on show and launched at the private view on the 24th October 2018 at the Coco de Mer flagship store 23 Monmouth Street London WC2.
