Saturday evening in Perpignan, at the end of the first week of the Festival Visa Pour l’Image, the awards were given to the best photojournalists in the world.
This year and for the 30th edition of the festival, the Visa d’Or Paris Match News went to Véronique de Viguerie for her work on Yemen, she also won the Humanitarian Visa d’Or of the International Comittee of the Red Cross.
It is the first time time in 20 years that the Visa D’Or News is awarded to a woman and, out of the 13 awards and prizes, 7 were won by women.
