Coinciding with Paris Photo, Sotheby’s Paris proposes December 8th at the sale Photographs, the collection of Estelle and Hervé Francès, a second sale on December 5th will propose their collection of Contemporary Art.
The Francès Corporate Foundation, created in 2009 at the initiative of Estelle and Hervé Francès, has been working for 10 years for accessibility to contemporary art for all. Ten years of exhibitions, accompaniments and relationships with audiences in an ever-present desire to produce emotions and a natural curiosity for art. This commitment is expressed in a territory, that of the Hauts-de-France, on which is established the Foundation, but also internationally by the permanent dissemination of the works of the collection at its disposal, a fund of more than 600 works of art, reunited thanks to the wise eye of the founders. For the last 10 years, this collection has been the thread of every project the Foundation carries out with perseverance and eloquence. Each of these works has, individually or collectively, carried an idea, supported beliefs, evolved mentalities, and above all, awakened the spirit of the young audience. Moreover, far from being limited to its own territory, the Foundation engages with other cultural and professional actors of the art world in philanthropic initiatives whose objective is to promote French contemporary creation abroad.
