The jury for the 58th edition of the Prix Niépce met at the Bibliothèque Nationale de France on June 13, 2013. Chaired by Esther Woerdehoff, president of the association Gens d’Images, the jury selected the work of Valérie Jouve, sponsored by Magali Jauffret, a journalist and critic for L’Humanité. The 8000€ Prix Niépce Gens d’Images is supported by Marin Karmitz/MK2.
Valérie Jouve was born in 1964 in Saint-Etienne. An anthropologist by training and a graduate of the ENSP in Arles, Jouve is both a photographer and filmmaker. She is represented by the Galerie Xippas in Paris.
