I will remember from Martine her gentleness, her generosity and her ability to marvel, like a night of November 2005 when she was staring with admiration at her tightrope walker friend Philippe Petit who was playing magic tricks at the end of a dinner.
Her photograph of two young girls sallying out of a wall in Tory Island illustrates her strength in my eyes: the light, the confidence, the shared enjoyment of the pleasures of life.
