Which latitude is given to the photographer who wants to impress the soul for us, without stealing it or giving way? It seems to be a difficult task in a period where our eyes are saturated by a profusion of images and our emotions get blunt.

Every operator is ever more sent back to himself, to his sensibility, his approach, his deepest intimacy and individuality, his unique and personal relationship with the subject.

By tackling this exercise, they display a large range of feelings, from melancholy to lightness, going through romance, grace or morbidity.

The soul comes out today from the mysterious and secret den of three photographers. They work with the same process, Wet Plate Collodion, a photographic process involving the use of ether. Their challenge is to show something that is not visible. The resulting work emits souls unfolding themselves, souls that are lost, souls in their magnificence. The process of revelation follows each artist’s individual desire and imagination.

With the Anima Etherea project the soul of the photographer is revealed.
