Sacha Sieff –A symphony of images

For the exhibition Les Sieff at Colette, Sacha Sieff, the musician of the family, has produced a mixtape/collage inspired by his father and his work, using recordings his father left behind on vinyl, cassettes, reels and VHS tapes.

Sacha took the voice of his father and those of his friends (Ivry Gitlis, Robert Doisneau, Helmut Newton, Pierre Bergé, François-Xavier Lalanne), interviews, films, and some of his old records, like Julie London, and remixed them with other voices (Salvador Dali, Jean-Paul Belmondo) and pieces of music by Errol Parker, Moondog, Claude Vasori or himself.

Sacha Sieff is a composer. Spinning records was his first love, and he soon began composing. He’s done film music for Pierre Jolivet, covers of Béatrice Ardisson, and is currently finishing his own album.
