Eugenio Recuenco has made captivating commercials for the fragrances Quizas, Quizas, Quizas from Loewe and Nina from Nina Ricci, and shot music videos for several musicians.
With a background in graphic arts, Recuenco is foremost a photographer. He has worked for famous brands and magazines around the world, creating in his photographs complex worlds worthy of the stage. (He also served as the art director and set designer for a production of the opera Les Huguenots in 2009 in New York.)
Following gallery shows in Paris (La Galerie Particulière) and Berlin (Camera Work) in 2013, a solo show of Recuenco’s work will be on display at the Kunsthalle in Rostock, Germany, from February 16th to April 6th, 2014.
A retrospective publication featuring 229 photographs, Revue, is available from TeNeus in English, German, French and Spanish.
