For its 20th exhibition in)(between brings together a personal selection of works by 34 contemporary photographers mainly from Japan, but also Austria, Belgium, South Korea , France, Norway and Sweden. Some of the presented artists have already exhibited at in)(between, others will be exhibiting for the first time, but all maintain a privileged link with the gallery.
The large and varied exhibition offers a photographic stroll throughout the works exhibited, it crosses the images in black and white identified shadows and fog caught in the streets of Istanbul by Gilles Roudière with Hiroki Matsui solar landscapes.
The abundant and varied exhibit offers a photographic stroll. Among the works presented, it put face to face the images in B&W characteristic of shadows and fog caught in the streets of Istanbul by Gilles Roudière with the Japanese sunny landscapes by Hiroki Matsui.
It equally invites the viewer to wander the streets of Tokyo under the lens of Tatsuo Suzuki or even venturing into night bars to meet the portraits of the unknown dwellers of Junku Nishimura, and back to the colorful inert Japan of Koji Onaka jumping to the Roots & Bonds from Regina Maria Anzenberger and the streets of Stockholm by Joakim Kocjancic, making a pause to rediscover some shots of the Norwegian photographer Morten Andersen and even penetrate the intimacy of the Japanese photographer Emi Anrakuji revealing elegand sensual self-portraits, and the refined and mysterious erotica by Tobi (Tomohisa – Tobitsuka).
