El Ciclope Mecanico is a professional photographers collective founded in 2006. How many were you, and how did the group come together?
The collective has lived through different steps with different members. We have always had between eight and five members, including some from the original group. We have also shifted our focus from the dissemination of photography to its creation. The collective was founded in 2006 out of the concerns of photographer lovers who were meeting to share and comment on works of photography, a little like a PhotoBook Club, which is in fashion right now. The sessions became public at the Sevilla Photo festival, of which photography lovers in that city have many fond memories.
