Painter, photographer, painter and photographer, image maker and creator, doing collages, tying things together, he comes up with worlds that blend a rich iconography of the real and the imaginary, always bringing forms into line. His ongoing quest is for material, color, possibilities. It’s really hard to put a tag on his work because what he does seems to be work in progress, something branching out from previous work and challenging it. He has to spend time decrypting the elements, exploring the different levels of meaning that they develop, the stresses that are behind them, and the shifts that make it possible for materials to coexist. Each piece is an invitation to come back and take another look, a detailed one, because it cannot be captured at first look. Some of them seem more obvious, with a clearer reading, but it is highly likely that they hide something more mysterious.
