Clément Briend had previously been in Phnom Penh for a festival, doing what he liked to do best, projecting images in public space. He likes this art form, both fragile and magical, flexible and impressive, to present photography and make it accessible to all. Over the last two years, he has improved his technical devices, made his images more sophisticated, and is now back to give us exhibitions that have no material reality and games that enable him to transpose features of history and architecture in the modern city. What he does is both a reflection on the meaning of photography, on its potential, on space, on wonderment. He has some surprises for us that only the image can give, like gifts bathed in light that all can enjoy on an imposing façade or on the meandering of a small street.
