Launched in 2017, the Paris Photo Student Prize supports undergraduate and postgraduate students in European schools of photography and visual arts.
Co-founded by Paris Photo, the PICTO Foundation and SNCF Gares & Connexions, the programme supports the emergence of new talent and helps them gain access to the professional world. Each year, a jury of professionals selects 20 students from over 600 applications from nearly 200 European schools. Four winners are then chosen.
The winners’ projects are presented at Paris Photo, on Hahnemühle FineArt paper, in a dedicated space, and an exhibition in a Parisian train station. The 20 selected students benefit from a dedicated support programme. Awards are presented by the partners: a residency with FUTURES and a grant awarded by La SAIF. The programme offers visibility among industry professionals and facilitates meetings with key figures in the world of photography.
