Paris Photo 2014 : Khalid Al Thani

Preview

The exhibition “Language without Words” is an exclusive insight into the current work of Qatari photographer Khalid Al Thani. Following its preview at Paris Photo 2014, “Language without Words” will be shown in a larger comprehensive form in London in 2016.

For more than a decade Al Thani has wandered the Qatari desert with his Leica, searching for definitive images of this desolate but beautiful terrain. Relentlessly photographing symbols of the desert including falcons, oryxes, Sidra trees, sand dunes as well as the night sky scattered with stars, Al Thani has now neared his goal.

Consisting of sixteen  prints (each 101 x 152 cm), “Language without Words” presents Al Thani’s vision of this little-seen environment to the international public.
