Paris: Festival Circulation(s)

Preview

The festival Circulation(s) was created in 2011 by the Fetart Association and quickly found its place in the photographic landscape. It introduces the work of young European photographers to an audience of professionals and photo lovers, breaking barriers between different European countries and encouraging cultural exchange.

The fourth edition of the festival opens under the sponsorship of Xavier Canonne, director of the Musée de la Photographie in Charleroi, Belgium. The big change this year is the location. After three years at  Bagatelle, this year’s festival will be held at 104, which is bigger, more accessible, and will no doubt increase attendance and make navigating the exhibition space easier for everyone.

The 2014 program features the work of 22 photographers from across Europe selected by a jury of professionals. This year’s “Carte Blanche” was given to Xavier Canonne, who is showcasing four young Belgian photographers. Circulation(s) has also invited the Belfast School of Art (Ireland), the Galerija Fotografija in Ljubljana (Slovenia) and other artists, who have been given their own space, along with other special projects and a projection room.

Visitors have until March 16, 2014, to discover the next wave of European photographers at the 104 in Paris. Admission is free.
