Jonas Cuénin, one of our New York contributors, has a passion for Irving Penn, and one of the photographer’s most famous series in particular: Small Trades. Jonas Cuénin launches a web serie, “Of Pictures and Men” (Des images et des hommes) in tribute to that series, and dedicated his project to all those in the world of photography who never have the chance to find the spotlight. Today’s subject is Robert Stevens, professor at the School Visual Arts of New York and the International Center of Photography, former photo editor at Time and specialist in photojournalism, especially the work of James Nachtwey.
