Discovered during the 2021 edition of INCADAQUÉS, Nyima Marin and his blue images were then displayed alongside an impressive Baroque altarpiece on the walls of the Santa-Maria church in the Catalan village.
Associated with the poems written by the photographer himself, this series of cyanotypes is the result of three trips to Crete by the author, back in the footsteps of his original past, and now published in a beautiful book made possible thanks to the Agnès b. dotation funds.
” Everything is blue
like the indifference of a sky
from where beauty falls
this precious pollen which at dawn came to caress
these flowers born from no seed
everything is blue
like her calm, moist gaze
from which sad sapphires sink
in the deep and unfathomable waters
of a tragic destiny ”
The introspective visions of Nyima Marin lead us into a poetic labyrinth, oscillating between land of discovery and reunion; wandering from raw materials to diffuse memories, caressing the rocks, observing the fauna and flora to end up dazzling us with a melancholy light.
